9.30 am to 4.30 pm

 

This Day of Reflection will start with coffee at 9.30am and end after tea at
about 4.30pm.  The total cost will be £18 per person including coffee, lunch
and tea.

 

‘Transformation’

 

Helen Jaeger in her book ‘As Night Falls’ says that when we contemplate
transformation we enter holy and unpredictable ground! 

 

So why seek transformation? 

What happens when we surrender ourselves to the idea of transformation? 

And what are the fruits of transformation? 

 

These are some of the questions that will prompt our thoughts through the
day, to a background of peaceful music and inspiring visual presentations in
the tranquil surroundings of Bishop Woodford House. Time to be alone, to be
with God, to be transformed!

 

David Middleton is, by profession, a Quantity Surveyor working in
residential development. He is a Methodist Local Preacher and a member of
the Leadership Team at Ely Methodist Church with particular responsibility
for the spiritual life of the Church. For a number of years he was a member
of the executive of the Methodist Retreat and Spirituality Network and
organised the National Retreat at Launde Abbey. He has led a number of quiet
days and retreats at Launde Abbey together with quiet days at Bishop
Woodford House, and continues to work out his own spirituality in quietness
and reflective prayer.
