Film: Voyage of the Damned. Drama based on a true story. On 13th May 1939, the liner SS St Louis
leaves Hamburg for Cuba carrying 937 Jewish refugees in search of a new life 2.05pm BBC2

Film: The Messenger: the Story of Joan of Arc. Historical drama. When a Young girl prone to
religious visions galvanises the French army to resisting the English invaders, a legend is born.

assassinate during the war. Robin Glendinnings' play explores their remarkable post-war
relationship. 2.15pm R4
