Saturday 10th November
The Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance. The Rt Revd Nigel McCulloch, Bishop of Manchester
conducts the service, which includes the traditional two minute science as thousands of symbolic
poppy petals fall in the Royal Albert Hall. 9.05pm BBC1
The Moral Maze (rpt) (7/9). Michael Buerk chairs a debate in which Ian Hargreaves, Michael Portillo,
Alex Callicos and Clifford Longley cross-examine expert witnesses on the moral issues behind the
week's news. 10.15pm R4

Johnestown Cult Suicides: the True Story (2/7). Documentary reliving the events leading up to 18
November 1978, when 900 members of Jim Jones's People's Temple church based in Guyana committed mass

The Essay Free Thinking. Ben Markovits considers the freedom of the immigrant in Britain. Half
German, half American, part Christian, part Jewish, Ben has never felt fully rooted in a single
culture or completely involved in the society around him. 11pm R3
