[Ely Events] FW: Wicken and Wilburton Proms night - Saturday 7th July - change of venue

Dear All

This is to let you know that the Wicken and Wilburton Proms night will be going ahead, but has had
to move its venue.  The marquee blew down last night and the field is a complete quagmire.

We shall still be holding the Prom, but it will now be held at Wicken Mission Hall.  Same time -
5.30pm - and same ticket price (£6 for grown-ups,
£4 for concessions, kids under 16 go free).

It's in a good cause (well, two, actually):  disabled access for St Laurence’s Church, Wicken, and
toilet facilities for St Peter’s Church, Wilburton.

The programme includes loads of favourites from the BBC “Last Night of the Proms”, such as the
Knightsbridge March from Coates’s “London Everyday Suite”, Vaughan Williams’ “Sea Songs” and “The
Galloping Major” by Leigh & Bastow.  Also on the programme will be selections from films, ballets
and musicals, as well as “O Sole Mio”, “Chattanooga Choo Choo” and the much lamented Radio 4 Theme.
