tragedy of the gunpowder terror.  New play about Guy Fawkes presented by
Riding Lights Theatre Company to mark the 400th anniversary of the Gunpowder

Church to mark the departure of the Franciscans from Cambridge.

Tuesday 4th                            7.30 pm  Early Christian Ethics in
Context – Slavery, Sabbath, War and Women.  Part of a weekly course led by
Dr Justin Meggitt of Cambridge’s Maddingly Hall. Held at St Augustine's

hear God's call, and to look at the range of ministries within the church.

God in Stillness and Silence.  Reflection and meditation weekend at Bishop
Woodford House, Ely.   Led by Robin Burgess, Director of the Westminster

Diocesan Youth Council for church youth groups, followed by worship at All

Awareness Conference.  Exploring current concerns in mental health, the
changing legislation and issues facing the church and the individual.
Keynote address by the Professor Stephen Sykes, former Bishop of Ely, now
Principal of St John’s College, Durham.  Held at St Luke’s Church,
Cambridge.   Admission free.  Separate children’s activities provided.

the Bible forbid sexual relations between people of the same sex?  Debate
between the  Revd Dr Mike Thompson, Vice Principal, Ridley Hall Theological
College and  the Revd Michael Beckett, vicar of St Paul’s, Cambridge, Author
& Greenbelt Speaker. Held at Ely Cathedral.  Free admission.

Tuesday 25th                           10.00 am – 4.00 pm Seven Whole Days -
The Why, What and How of Daily Prayer.  Led by the Revd Gilly Myers,
Succentor, Durham Cathedral and co-author of Using Common Worship: Daily
Prayer.  Of interest to those who use some form of daily office or who would
like to explore doing so.  Held at Bar Hill Church.   Cost £20 includes
