Sunday Worship  This regular Sunday morning slot today comes from
Westminster Abbey, in celebration of the 1,000th anniversary of the birth of
its founder, King Edward the Confessor.   8.10am  R4


Monday 10 October

The Battle for Britain’s Soul   2/4  Peter Owen-Jones continues to chart
Britain’s religious history.  Tonight, how Victorian Britain marked a real
turning point in religion, as a growing number of people started to doubt
the very truth of Christianity.  7pm BBC2

Composers of the Week:  Ockeghem and Obrecht.  This week-long musical
journey in the company of two greats from the Renaissance world begins at
the Cathedral of Our Lady in Antwerp.  Tomorrow the focus is on the devout
churchman and intellectual Johannes Ockeghem.  12 noon R3 Monday – Friday

Thomas Tallis, the BBC Singers give a concert of music by Tallis and his

Hindu Lives  Krishnan Guru-Murthy concludes his look at three generations of
British Hindus to find how their faith has shaped their identity and the
cultural landscape of Britain.   8pm R4
