[Ely Announce] Announcement - From the Bishop of Ely

The Bishop of Ely announces that the half-stipend post of Vicar of St
Bene't's in Cambridge  is to be linked with a new half-stipend post of
Diocesan Director of Ordinands in the Diocese. 

 

This follows a recent decision by the Bishop's Council of a longer-term
strategy, from 2012, to detach the vocations/ordination work in the
Diocese from the other responsibilities of the Director of Ministry and
Vocation.  In due course, these other responsibilities will become part
of the work of a new post of Director of Ministry and Training.

 

For the time being, however, Canon Vanessa Herrick and Canon Les Oglesby
will continue to maintain their existing portfolios of work and to care
for the people involved.
