[Ely Announce] The Venerable John Sanderson Long

It is with sadness that we announce the death of the Venerable John Sanderson Long, who passed away on 4th June 2008, aged 94.

 

Archdeacon Long was ordained priest in the Diocese of Canterbury in 1937.  He was Archdeacon of Ely and Rector of St Botolph, Cambridge from 1970  
to 1981.  

 

John, a widower, is survived by 1 son and 3 daughters

 

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday 10th June, 2pm, at St Andrew, Girton.
