[Ely Announce] Appointment of Rural Dean - St Ives

The Bishop of Ely is pleased to announce the appointment of the Reverend Christopher Barter, Rector of Somersham with Pidley and Old Hurst as also Rural Dean of St Ives to succeed the Reverend Richard Darmody.  The appointment, which is for a period of five years, takes effect immediately.

 

Christopher will be commissioned by the Archdeacon of Huntingdon & Wisbech in due course.  A date for the formal Commissioning has not yet been arranged.
