[Ely Announce] The Reverend Canon Frank Fisher to Retire

The Reverend Canon Frank Fisher will retire as Priest-in-Charge of St. Andrew and St. Mary, Grantchester, on 30th April 2006, which will coincide with his last Sunday in the parish.

 

Frank came to the Diocese in 1990 as Diocesan Ecumenical Officer and Priest-in-Charge of St. Andrew, Stapleford.  He served as Rural Dean of Shelford from 1994-2003, and became an Honorary Canon of Ely Cathedral in 1998.

 

Following his retirement in 2001, he accepted the post of Priest-in-Charge (House for Duty) of Grantchester.

 

The Bishop is pleased to announce that Frank has accepted the title of Canon Emeritus.

 

He and Thelma will be retiring to Castle Cary in Somerset.
