      The Celebration of the Feast Day of Nicholas Ferrar

The life and witness of Nicholas Ferrar of Little Gidding, who died on 4 
December 1637, will be commemorated at a celebration of Holy Communion 
in the famous church at Little Gidding.

Followed by lunch at Ferrar House.


      Saturday 5 December
      'You are here to kneel: the church at Little Gidding'

Trevor Cooper, Chair of the Ecclesiological Society, will give an 
illustrated and guided talk on Little Gidding Church (on which he has 
carried out considerable research), concentrating especially on the way 
the church was used in the Ferrars' time, and relating that to the 
church furnishings surviving from that period. The talk will appeal not 
just to lovers of Little Gidding, but to all who are interested in 
church buildings and their use.

This talk will be preceded by lunch, which itself is preceded by the AGM 
of the Friends of Little Gidding, and beginning with a celebration of 
Holy Communion at 10.30am.
