This Day of Reflection will start with coffee at 9.30am and end after tea at
about 4.30pm on Friday 20th March 2009.  The total cost will be £19 per
person including coffee, lunch and tea.

 

‘Retreat to Advance’

 

For forty years the Israelites were on a journey out of slavery in Egypt to
the Promised Land. Each year this journey to freedom is celebrated in the
Jewish feast of Passover.

 

For Christians, Jesus is the Passover. Our life is a journey with Christ
from the slavery of sin into the freedom of God.

 

It was often necessary for Jesus and other Biblical characters to retreat in
order to advance in their personal journey and ministry. Lent gives us a
wonderful opportunity to take a fresh look at ours.
