For a pause on life’s journey

 

This Day of Reflection will start with coffee at 9.30am and end after tea at
about 4.30pm on Wednesday 27th May 2009.  The total cost will be £19 per
person including coffee, lunch and tea.

 

‘Experiencing God in the Stillness’

 

A time to pause and be silent as we pray

A time to allow our emotions to delight in God’s presence

A time to be brought to life through our emotions rather than  

    through tiring the mind with study 

A time to peacefully drink in what we have tasted

A time to be completely handed over to God

A time to experience God in the stillness

 

Experiencing God in the Stillness, inspired by The Cloud of Unknowing,
Madame Guyon and Brother Lawrence

 

David Middleton is, by profession, a Quantity Surveyor working in
residential development. He is a Methodist Local Preacher and a member of
the Leadership Team at Ely Methodist Church with particular responsibility
for the spiritual life of the Church. For a number of years he was a member
of the executive of the Methodist Retreat and Spirituality Network and
organised the National Retreat at Launde Abbey.

of Reflection, your contact details and the names of any other people you
wish to book for.  Please also let us know of any special dietary
requirements.  If you wish to receive confirmation of your booking please
enclose a SAE.  If you are booking within 7 days of the Day of Refection
please ring us to enquire if there are places still available.
