 Tuesday 7th                          10.30 am – 3.00 pm The Country Vicar.
A Rural Theology Association meeting with the Ven. John Cox (Archdeacon of
Sudbury) on the new book by Derek Osborne. Laity as well as the ordained are
welcome. Held at West Dereham Church, Norfolk, near Downham Market. Please

Thursday 9th –
Friday 10th                             9.30 am – 4.00 pm Safeguarding
Children. Led by the Peterborough Area Child Protection Committee. A two-day
introduction course to Child Protection. Held in the Peterborough

Friday 10th                             7.00 – 9.30 pm Ely after Dark. An
evening tour of the Cathedral. Experience the atmosphere and envisage the
layout in monastic times. Sup on “pottage, bread and cheese”. Ends with

Saturday 11th                         7.30 pm Rutter’s Requiem and a
selection of Holst Part Songs is being presented by the Ely Consort choir.
Featuring organist Jonathan Lilley and soprano Ruth Shepherd.  Held at Ely
Methodist Church in Chapel Street.   Tickets £6.  (Under 16’s free). For

Sunday 12th                           6.30 pm Cathedral Taizé Service. Taizé
service for Lent in the Lady Chapel at Ely Cathedral. Everyone is welcome.
If you would like to be part of the music group please come at 5.45 pm for a
rehearsal.

Thursday 16th                        10.00 am – 4.00 pm One-Day Basic Godly
Play Study Day. Held at Trumpington Vicarage, Cambridge. Cost is £15/20

Saturday 18th                          10.00 am – 4.00 pm Silence and
Stillness – Christian Prayer and Meditation in Context – recovering the
simple stillness of silent prayer. Experience contemplative prayer and learn
about meditation through guided sessions and discussions with The Cambridge
Christian Meditation Group.   Held at St. Luke’s Church, Victoria Road,

Furnishings in Norfolk Churches and the Medieval Patrons Supporting Them.
The Cambridgeshire Historic Churches Trust Annual Spring Conference. This
all-day conference is being held at Lee Hall, Wolfson College, Cambridge.

towards Easter. A retreat using icons to reflect on the Passion of Christ
and looking forward to Easter.  Led by Sister Esther from Turvey Abbey.
