[Ely Announce] Rural Dean Announcement - the Deanery of Granta

Following consultation, a Pastoral Order dated 1st April 2009 created the Deanery of Granta.  The Deanery includes those parishes of the former deanery of Shelford and several parishes form the Deanery of Linton. Other parishes from the Deanery of Linton have joined the Deanery of Fordham & Quy and the Deanery of Linton has now ceased to exist.

 

This being so, the Bishop of Ely is pleased to announce the appointment of the Revd Michael Goater, Priest in Charge of Great Shelford, as Rural Dean of the newly formed Deanery of Granta for a period of five years.
