It is with great sadness that we announce the death of the Revd Canon George Christopher Stead

Canon Christopher had been Professor of Divinity at Cambridge University, a Residentiary Canon at Ely Cathedral and held the Bishop's Permission to Officiate until 2004.

Christopher leaves a widow Elizabeth.

The funeral will be held on 12th June, 2pm in Ely Cathedral.
