[Ely Announce] BEWARE! Possible Telephone Scam

We have received a report of an attempted scam by phone.  Purporting to be some charity calling itself 'TTP' to the effect that they're following up a phone call from last January, and agreement to offer educational support to local schools through a book, and as a subscriber the price has been pegged at £1.45 etc etc.  

When the receiver of this phone call said January was quite a long time ago and please could they provide a reference number or written information, they hung up.  But their call was in fact quite sophisticated and a busy or harassed person could be caught.
