[Ely Announce] A church near you

I notice there has been some discussion on the ely-list about the website 'A
church near you'.  The Oxford Diocesan Communications Team take
responsibility for this. I am already in touch with them with a view to
getting all the names of our churches on to this site.  I understand that we
can also supply grid references which would be displayed.  That much of the
operation will not raise any data protection issues and should meet some of
the criticisms made on the ely-list.

The plan thereafter is that the parishes themselves would be able to post
the more detailed information (service times, contact details, etc.) on to
the site.  The control will be in their hands and they will be able to post
up to date information themselves.
