Archdeacon of Cambridge


I am pleased to announce that after a considerable delay approval has been given by the Church Commissioners for the change of name of the Southern Archdeaconry in this Diocese.  It will now be known as the Cambridge Archdeaconry and the Venerable John Beer will be titled the Archdeacon of Cambridge.  This will take place with immediate effect and I am delighted that this has now been approved.




Bishop Woodford House


Sadly, Mary Streater has announced that she wishes to withdraw from her post as Warden of Bishop Woodford House this autumn.   She has made an enormous contribution to the work of Bishop Woodford House which has been widely appreciated and we wish her well as she and Tim move to their house in West Wratting.

In due course a presentation will be made and there will be an opportunity to thank her more fully for all the work which she has done.  The process of making a new appointment will proceed immediately and appropriate advertisements will appear shortly.
