[Ely Announce] Church thefts

In the last 24 hours I have heard of two incidents of theft from churches in
the diocese. They seem very similar- a break in followed by theft from the
safe. In both cases the locks of the safe were drilled through.
The only thing taken in both incidents was money. All other valuables were
left including silverware.

Has anything suspicious happened in one of your churches?
Are there other churches where a similar incident has occurred? Please let
me know.

I suspect the thieves were after Christmas collections but please ensure all
money is placed in the bank as soon as possible.
