LICHFIELD CATHEDRAL have made available the following prayers
of Reflection and Remembrance in the wake of the terrorist attacks in London

The explosions in London on Thursday 7th July have left many people
feeling shocked, vulnerable, angry and afraid. We hope that you will find
this prayer card helpful in your own personal reflections on this tragedy.
Please feel welcome to take it away and use it at home.

God of hope, we come to you
in shock and grief and confusion of heart.
Help us to find peace in the knowledge
of your loving mercy to all your children,
and give us light to guide us out of our darkness
into the assurance of your love,
in Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

For those who have lost their lives

Lord God, Creator of all,
you have made us creatures of this earth,
but have also promised us a share in eternal life.
We commend into your hands all who have died.
According to your promises,
bring them to the joy of heaven,
where there is neither sorrow nor pain,
but life everlasting;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
