[Ely Announce] Maundy Thursday

Advance Notice for your diaries  -  Maundy Thursday - 24th March 2005


The Presbytery will be open for silent prayer from 9.30 a.m. onwards. Robing will take place in the Lady Chapel from 10 a.m. (dress: cassock, surplice and white stole, but you will be most welcome, whatever you choose to wear).

The service will begin at 10.30 a.m. Lay people will be most welcome and in the liturgy they are both included and affirmed. The Blessing of Holy Oils takes place during the service and should you wish to collect oil, please bring suitable receptacles to the South Choir Aisle at the end of the service.

Light refreshments will be provided at the back of the Cathedral following the service.
