Saturday 13 March
in St Mary’s, 2.00pm - 4.00pm
Interactive Workshop led by
Miles Falla & Chris Bylett

Open to anyone already taking or thinking about taking a speaking role in worship. NB: no criticism is implied of anyone currently involved in this aspect of ministry and worship, but most of us would probably find something in the session from which we might benefit – not least the opportunity to learn good practice from each other. Your vicar will certainly be there (to try and learn how to speak more slowly…) more details to follow.

Tea, chat and toys

is now on most Fridays from 3.30pm til 5pm, at the vicarage. Babies, toddlers, and younger children together with their parents/carers are very welcome.

Stepping Stones

All are welcome at the new monthly event at St Mary’s, on the second Sunday of each month at 4pm - a fun way for babies, toddlers, preschool & KS1 children and their parents to grow in faith together.

Foundations Group

A new Foundations Group will be starting in the October – contact Tim if you think you might like to join. This year’s group has been a great way to grow in faith (or even prepare for confirmation) in a relaxed, supportive, fun, and thought provoking way. They meet at 19 Church Street. For more information please

Ground Floor Group

The current Foundations Group will continue to meet twice a month in the Vicarage but on a Thursday under this new name. For more information please

Men's Breakfast

this group meets at 8.30am at the Lion Hotel in Buckden on the first Saturday of every month - so far without missing a single month! Newcomers are made welcome by the core membership of men from St Mary's Church. Topics for lively discussion are based on questions of life and faith.

For any further information please do contact

Quiet Days for Lent

Irena Milloy will be hosting Lent quiet days at 25 Perry Road on Wednesdays (Feb 24, Mar 3, 10, 17, 24). Come for the morning (10.30am-12.30pm) or afternoon (1.30-3.30pm) or for both; soup will be available at lunchtime for anyone wishing to stay.

Puddings and Conversation

8pm at Buckden Vicarage. All are welcome for an hour or so of hopefully thought provoking but not overly taxing conversation on a theological topic of interest, with tea, coffee and light refreshments and good company...

Women’s World day of Prayer
Friday 5 March at 10.00am in St Hugh’s Church

A service prepared by the women of Cameroon. Speaker Father Bijoy CMF. Everyone welcome. Please contact Beryl Atkin if you would like to be one of the four readers needed.

‘Rebuilding Haiti’ a fundraising meal
Friday 26 March, 7.30pm, Buckden Millennium Hall

‘Rebuilding Haiti’ a fundraising two-course meal (£10 per head) organized by Buckden Churches Together, with a talk by Flora Henderson, a nurse from the St Hugh’s congregation who has been undertaking relief work in Haiti itself. If you can help provide food (cottage pie, or cheesecake) please contact Sue Smith (812964)

We come together in church to worship God, to hear His word and to share the Good news of Jesus,
receiving forgiveness and renewal through His death and resurrection.

We are sent out from church to live as Christian disciples, showing love to others
and living out our faith in all we think, say and do.
