Robert Beckford - Revelation, The Last Judgement

Saturday, 22nd January 2011 at St Luke’s Church, Norwich

The Norwich Christian Meditation Centre is delighted to announce that Dr Robert Beckford, the theologian responsible for such Channel 4 programmes as ‘God Bless you Barack Obama?’ and ‘Decoding the Nativity’ is coming to Norwich to give a day long workshop on the subject  ‘Revelation - The Last Judgement’.

Robert is an educator, author and award-winning broadcaster. He was the first ever tutor in Black Theology at Queens College, Birmingham (1992-8) and  is currently a Visiting Professor of Sociology at Goldsmiths, University of London.

He will be screening his film on the Book of Revelation and will then lead us in a day workshop looking at the implications of the text on contemporary society. It should be a fascinating day and a good way to get church members involved with some theology in a new way that is both interesting and entertaining.

Cost:  £25 (before Nov 1st), £30 (before Dec 1st) or £35 (full fee). £20 concessions.
