This is an annual gathering which enables us to highlight the ministry of healing in our churches. It provides an opportunity for networking. This year we will be delighted to welcome Dr Gareth Tuckwell, Director of Burrswood, a Christian hospital and place of healing. Burrswood provides care for the whole person through medical expertise, skilled nursing, counselling and prayer.

The morning session will take place in Ely Methodist Church, where participants will also be able to have lunch (coffee and tea are provided by the Mothers Union but please bring a packed lunch). The Eucharist, with laying on of hands and anointing, will be in the Presbytery at the Cathedral in the afternoon.

There is a small charge to cover costs. Participants will need to book in advance, and booking forms should be sent to the Bishop’s Office. Parking is available in the Barton Road car park. There is limited parking at the Diocesan Office.

Stir Up! is a special event brought to you by the Schools Team as part of the Ely 900 celebrations.

Stir Up! is aimed at teachers and their families, as well as those who are considering teaching as a career.

Stir Up! is an opportunity for Christian teachers and their families to :

* Enjoy a Sunday Roast Lunch
* Reflect on their Christian Vocation to teach with Trevor Cooling. Trevor is an inspirational international speaker and author who has worked with Christian teachers in Ely in the past and comes highly recommended as an after-lunch speaker!
* During Trevor’s input there will be creative activities for other family members (particularly children but older ones, and spouses will be welcome too!), on the theme of Stir Up! and this will form the basis for the
* Short act of worship which will finish the afternoon.

Stir Up! is FREE! Stir Up! is sponsored by the Keswick Hall Trust and so the only cost will be your time.

Stir Up! is at Ely St Mary’s Junior School on Sunday 22nd November. Lunch will be served at 1.15 promptly and we ask guests to arrive by 1pm. The afternoon will finish at 4pm.
