The Ely Diocesan Mailing List is for discussion of items relevant to people in the Diocese of Ely. There is a companion list which carries all diocesan press releases, announcements of appointments and similar official items from the Bishop of Ely, the Bishop of Huntingdon, the Archdeacon of Cambridge, the Archdeacon of Huntingdon and Wisbech, the Communications Officer, and the Diocesan Secretary, or by those acting on their behalf. Discussion about local church-related topics is appropriate. Other items of local interest may sometimes be appropriate. This list is probably not the best place for discussions of a wider nature which do not have any local interest. For general UK church-related discussion the lists run by Christians on the Internet (such as general@coin.org.uk) or the newsgroup uk.religion.christian may be more appropriate. To post a message to all the list members, send email to ely-list@ely.anglican.org. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to ely-list
Subscribe to ely-list by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription.
