News...

The Resources Centre is moving...

We are delighted to let you know that as the diocesan office undertakes a major move around in 2013 the Resources Centre will have a new home in the entrance area of the office. This will mean that everything will be easily accessible for you.

Temporary Closure...

Please bear with us as the move will take a few weeks, so in the meantime returns can be received anytime but with stock carefully packed away we cnnot promise to be able to locate stock for you to borrow.

If however, there is something you urgently require please email or phone and we will try our best to help you. Plenty of notice will need to be given.

We thank you for your patience - and do come and visit the Resources Centre when it is fully opened again!

Messy Church

If you want to know more about Messy Church visit the Messy Church website!

Get Messy! is a new four-monthly subscription resource for Messy Church leaders.

Each issue contains four session outlines (one per month), including planning sheets and take-home handouts, together with information on the latest resources and events.

It also seeks to encourage and refresh Messy Church leaders by providing monthly Bible studies, a column on taking time to recharge, and a problem page. Other features include a youth column, a day in the life of a Regional Coordinator and stories from Messy Churches around the world.

If you have any queries about any aspect of Messy Church do ask:

Julia Chamberlin

Or our local Messy Church Regional Adviser for Cambridgeshire:

Nicola Grieves

In 2013 we will have our new display space for all the Messy resources.

Holiday Clubs

Have you ever thought about holding an activity club for children during the school holidays?

Have you done one before and need some new ideas?

Now is the time to start planning what you will do and there are a number of books and other resources to help you at The Resources Centre based in Bishop Woodford House, Barton Road, Ely.

If you've never been to see what we have do come along - besides books we have large versions of popular games such as Connect 4, Jenga, Snakes & Ladders, and Twister to name but a few. There are also puppets, videos and dvd's.

Everything is available on free loan for 2 weeks (renewable if not requested by others). For contact details and opening times, please visit the Resources Centre area of the website .

There is a very useful download in the public area of the Children's Work Advisers Website - see below - on how to go about running a holiday club. Free Holiday Club resources are now downloadable on the Roots website - www.rootsontheweb.com
